Two weeks ago I started coaching with a Vegan Coach from the Peace Advocacy Network. According to their website, the “Peace Advocacy Network (PAN) promotes a peaceful existence through veganism, social justice, and respect for the Earth’s inhabitants and resources. PAN, founded in 2010, is a grassroots group completely run by volunteers that strives for the absence of violence in the lives of people and animals by eliminating oppression and inequality.”
My Vegan Coach is a volunteer who gives her time to keep me encouraged in my vegan lifestyle. We have a coaching session once a week that I find encouraging and delightful. For instance, I get to share recipe ideas with her and she gives me links to new information and ideas.
One of my goals is to become a Vegan Coach with PAN when I get through my four weeks. There’s no question that I’ll stay on track with this lifestyle. I didn’t get into the coaching because I doubt this way of eating but because I have fully embraced it and want to do it right. It’s not that I have trouble living the lifestyle. In fact, I pretty much overwhelm myself with too much information. But it’s all coming together very nicely as I continue to learn “go-to” meals and how to stock my pantry with the foods I need. I miss eating more raw foods however but that goes right into the raw/vegan eating lifestyle.
Check out the PAN website for more information.
